This course is designed for individuals who already have a basic understanding of turntablism and want to further develop their skills using techniques from scratching and DJ freestyle. The program is divided into three stages, focusing on technical development as well as rhythm, precision, and improvisation.
Workshops take place exclusively on turntables – if you don’t own your own equipment, please contact us to arrange a rental.

Stage 1 – Fundamentals and Analysis

• Breaking down scratch techniques and understanding their mechanics,
• Learning effective home practice: how to analyze mistakes and solve problems,
• Introduction to rhythm and rhythmic values in DJ practice,
• Applying basic techniques (baby, chirp, stab, transform) at various tempos and in different rhythmic contexts.

Stage 2 – Advanced Techniques and Precision

• Learning complex combinations such as: – 2-click combos (Boomerang, OG Flare, Autobahn), – Chirp Flare, – One Click Flare,
• Practicing with a metronome as a tool for tempo control and precision.

Stage 3 – Integration and Freestyle

• Combining learned techniques into longer sequences,
• Freestyle basics – how to build coherent, musical scratch routines,
• Preparing for open scratch sessions,
• Group freestyle session with the instructor and other participants.

The workshops are run in a hands-on format with a strong focus on practice and individual work. It’s an ideal space to develop your personal style and work on precision and expressiveness.

Hours: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
The course consists of three stages. Each stage lasts 3 hours and begins after the previous one is completed.
